Who Is Don Teague?

First things first. I want to thank you for visiting the web site, and more importantly, wanting to know more about me.

I was born and raised in Texas, currently living in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. I’ve been interested in technology since I was a kid and turned that into a long career in the corporate world. One day all of that came tumbling to the ground. I had been working on a contract basis at a large company when I had to go out of town for an emergency. The event that pulled me out of town went much longer than I had expected, and I was let go from that position.

That’s when I finally decided that if I was going to be happy, I had to take care of me, and not rely on a corporate job to do that for me. I had already been doing some work online in the marketing area, but decided that this was the time to make it a full time position and help others market themselves, and their company, online.

The slogan for DonTeague.com is Helping You Market You, Inc. What does that mean? Regardless of what type of company you have it’s the people that still make the difference in a company. You could have the best prices on the market, but if people don’t know who you are, they may not purchase from you. My goal is to show you, the small business owner, the sole proprieter, the network marketer, the blogger or the consultant how to market yourself and not your business. By marketing you, people will begin to know you. They may then start to like you. This hopefully will lead them to trust you. Know. Like. Trust. Three very important aspects in the marketing of You, Inc. If someone doesn’t know you, they can’t like you, nor can they trust you. If they stumble onto your site looking for your product/service, they may simply move on to someone else.
